A clear framework for using Bronva Social responsibly, communicating with other members and helping maintain a safe, respectful and useful online community.

Please read these Terms before creating an account or using the service. They explain the rules that apply to your use of Bronva Social, your responsibilities as a member and the limits of the service we provide.

Effective date: 26 October 2026 Part of Bronva UK legal framework
Important information

These Terms govern your use of Bronva Social, including member profiles, activity posts, comments, reactions, notifications and private messaging. By accessing or using the service, you agree to comply with these Terms and the laws that apply to you.

If you do not agree, do not create an account or continue using Bronva Social. Nothing in these Terms removes any legal rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.

Respect other members

Use the community lawfully, honestly and without harassment, abuse or deception.

You remain responsible for your content

Only publish material you have the right to share and that complies with these Terms.

Protect your account

Keep your sign-in details secure and tell us if you suspect unauthorised access.

Privacy has limits online

Private messages are intended for their recipients, but no online communication can be guaranteed completely confidential.

1 About Bronva Social

Bronva Social is an online social network forming part of Bronva. It enables members to create profiles, share activity and interact with other members through supported community features.

Bronva was founded by James William Steven Parker on 25 October 2026. The Bronva name has previously been used for different online services. These Terms apply specifically to the current Bronva Social service and do not automatically govern other websites or services operated under the Bronva name unless those services expressly adopt these Terms.

In these Terms, “Bronva Social”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to the service and its operator. “You” and “your” refer to any visitor, registered member or other person using the service. “Content” includes text, photographs, profile information, posts, comments, reactions, messages and other material submitted or displayed through Bronva Social.

Contact details are provided in section 19. These Terms are intended to be read alongside our Privacy Policy.

2 Agreement and eligibility

2.1 Accepting these Terms

By registering, signing in or otherwise using features of Bronva Social, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms, insofar as they lawfully apply to your use. If you do not agree, you must stop using the service.

Where the law requires a more specific form of agreement or consent, these Terms alone do not replace that requirement. We may ask you to confirm your acceptance where appropriate.

2.2 Your authority to agree

You must be legally capable of entering into an agreement of this kind. If you use Bronva Social on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to act on its behalf, and references to “you” may include that organisation where the context requires.

2.3 Age and lawful use

You must not use Bronva Social if doing so would breach a law that applies to you or if you are not legally permitted to use the service. Do not provide personal information about a child or young person unless you have the authority and lawful basis to do so. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information in circumstances that should be reviewed.

Where an applicable age restriction or other eligibility requirement is introduced or displayed on the service, you must comply with it. You must not misrepresent your age or eligibility.

2.4 Applicable law

You are responsible for ensuring that your use of Bronva Social complies with applicable laws, including laws concerning privacy, data protection, intellectual property, harassment, defamation, fraud and online conduct.

3 Your account and registration

3.1 Accurate registration information

When registering, you must provide information that is accurate, complete and not misleading. The registration process requires first and last names and an email address, along with a username and password that meet the requirements presented by the site. You must update information when necessary to keep it accurate.

Usernames may be standardised by the registration system. Public display names are generally based on your first and last names where both are available, with your username used as a fallback. You must not impersonate another person, falsely claim an affiliation or choose information intended to deceive others.

3.2 Email addresses and registration restrictions

You must use an email address that you are authorised to use and that can receive relevant account communications. We may restrict registration from certain email domains to help manage spam, abuse, fraud or service security. A registration may be declined where the submitted email address falls within an applicable restriction.

3.3 Passwords and account security

You are responsible for choosing a strong password, keeping it confidential and taking reasonable steps to prevent unauthorised access. The registration form may require a password of at least 12 characters containing lower-case and upper-case letters, a number and a special character. The site may change or strengthen its technical requirements.

  • Do not share your password or deliberately allow others to misuse your account.
  • Do not use another member’s account without permission.
  • Notify us promptly if you suspect your account has been compromised.
  • Co-operate reasonably with security measures needed to protect the service.

We may apply security controls, investigate suspicious activity or require additional steps where reasonably necessary to protect accounts and the service. No online system can guarantee that unauthorised access will never occur.

3.4 One account and truthful identity

You must not create accounts through deception, use false identities to evade restrictions or create accounts for abusive, fraudulent or otherwise prohibited purposes. We may restrict duplicate, automated or suspicious registrations where reasonably necessary.

3.5 Account responsibility

Subject to applicable law, actions carried out through your account may be treated as activity associated with that account. This does not mean you are automatically responsible for activity proven to have occurred without your authorisation; we may consider the circumstances when investigating a report.

4 Community standards and prohibited conduct

Bronva Social works best when members can participate without intimidation, deception or unlawful interference. You agree to use the service responsibly and not to do any of the following.

4.1 Harassment, threats and abuse

  • Threaten, stalk, intimidate, bully or harass another person.
  • Encourage violence or credible threats of harm.
  • Target a person with sustained unwanted contact or abusive messages.
  • Publish private or identifying information about someone without lawful authority or justification.
  • Use the service to facilitate exploitation, coercion or other unlawful abuse.

4.2 Illegal, harmful or deceptive activity

  • Use Bronva Social to commit, promote or facilitate a criminal offence or other unlawful act.
  • Commit fraud, phishing, identity theft, impersonation or other deception.
  • Publish unlawful threats, defamatory material, or content that unlawfully infringes another person’s rights.
  • Distribute malware, malicious code, credential-stealing tools or harmful links.
  • Solicit, facilitate or promote scams, fraudulent schemes or deceptive commercial offers.
  • Publish content that unlawfully exploits, sexualises or endangers children.

4.3 Spam and manipulation

  • Send unsolicited bulk messages, repetitive promotional messages or spam.
  • Use bots, scripts, fake accounts or coordinated activity to manipulate reactions, engagement or member interactions.
  • Abuse invitations, notifications, registration or messaging features.
  • Misrepresent endorsements, reviews, popularity or the source of content.

4.4 Interference with the service

  • Attempt to access another account, private message or restricted area without authorisation.
  • Probe, scan, exploit or bypass security controls without permission.
  • Interfere with the availability, integrity or operation of the service.
  • Overload the service, circumvent rate limits or use automated access in a way that harms the site or its members.
  • Scrape or harvest personal information or member content for unauthorised purposes.
  • Reverse engineer or circumvent technical restrictions except where applicable law expressly permits it.

4.5 Rights and harmful content

You must not post material that infringes copyright, trade marks, privacy, confidentiality or other legal rights. You must not knowingly publish malicious falsehoods, impersonate others or present fabricated information as verified fact in a way that causes unlawful harm.

4.6 No guarantee of exhaustive rules

The examples above are not exhaustive. Conduct that materially threatens members, violates the law, undermines security or seriously disrupts the community may be restricted even if it is not described word-for-word in this section. Any enforcement decision remains subject to applicable law and these Terms.

5 Posts and user content

5.1 You retain responsibility for your content

You are responsible for the content you submit, upload, share or send through Bronva Social, including posts, comments, replies, reactions, profile information, photographs and messages. You must have the rights, permissions and lawful basis needed to provide that content and allow it to be used as described in these Terms.

5.2 Licence needed to operate the service

You retain ownership of content to the extent that you own it. By submitting content, you grant Bronva Social a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, format, display, transmit and technically adapt that content only as reasonably necessary to operate, maintain, secure and provide the features of the service, display content to the audiences you choose, and enforce these Terms.

This licence includes allowing relevant service providers to process content on our behalf where needed to operate the service. It does not transfer ownership of your content to us or give us a general right to sell your personal posts or use them for unrelated purposes. The licence continues for as long as necessary to provide the service, retain relevant records, resolve disputes, comply with law or maintain backups, subject to applicable rights and legal requirements.

5.3 Your permissions and warranties

By submitting content, you confirm that, to the best of your knowledge and in the circumstances applicable to that content:

  • You own it or have permission to share it and grant the limited licence above.
  • Its submission and intended display do not unlawfully infringe another person’s rights.
  • It does not knowingly contain unlawful material or malicious code.
  • You have obtained any necessary permission from identifiable people where required by law.

5.4 Public and restricted content

Posts, comments, reactions, profile details and other activity may be visible to other members or the public, depending on the feature and its settings. Public material may be copied, shared, indexed by search engines or captured by third parties. We cannot control every subsequent use of content that others can legitimately view.

Do not publish passwords, financial details, confidential information, private contact details or other sensitive material unless you have carefully considered the consequences and are legally entitled to share it.

5.5 Editing and removing content

Where the relevant feature allows it, you may be able to edit or delete your own posts, comments or replies. Availability depends on the feature, your permissions and the technical operation of the service.

Removing content from a page does not necessarily remove every copy immediately. Content may remain in replies, notifications, recipients’ inboxes, lawful records, backups, cached copies or copies saved by other users. We may retain or restrict access to material where reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance, dispute resolution or enforcement, subject to applicable law.

5.6 No endorsement of member content

Member content represents the views and actions of its respective author, not necessarily those of Bronva Social. We do not endorse or guarantee the accuracy, reliability, legality or suitability of every item posted by a member. You should use your own judgement when relying on information or engaging with other users.

6 Profiles, names and images

Bronva Social may display your first and last names, username, profile photograph, cover photograph and other information associated with your profile. The way information is displayed may depend on the fields you complete and the site’s features.

  • Use a profile name and image that you are entitled to use.
  • Do not impersonate another person or falsely imply that another person endorses you.
  • Do not upload images that unlawfully infringe privacy, copyright or other rights.
  • Do not use profile features to harass, deceive or threaten other people.

Profile and cover photographs may be displayed in profile headers, activity feeds and other areas where the relevant feature uses them. The site may provide image viewing or editing controls, but these do not change your ownership rights or the obligations in section 5.

We may limit, remove or require changes to profile information or images where reasonably necessary to address impersonation, unlawful content, security risks or a breach of these Terms.

7 Private messages and member interactions

7.1 Private messaging

Bronva Social provides private messaging features for communication between members. Messages are intended for the participants in a conversation, but you should not treat the messaging service as guaranteed confidential, encrypted end-to-end or suitable for highly sensitive information unless the service expressly confirms those protections.

We may need to process message data to deliver conversations, maintain functionality, protect accounts, investigate credible reports, respond to lawful requests or address security and operational problems. Access to message content by the operator should be limited to circumstances justified by the applicable purpose and law.

7.2 Messages and content received from other members

You are responsible for how you respond to messages and other interactions. Do not use private messaging to send threats, harassment, spam, scams, unlawful material or content that infringes another person’s rights.

A recipient may save, copy, screenshot, forward or disclose communications, subject to applicable law. Deleting a message or conversation from your interface may not delete copies held by other participants or all technical records.

7.3 Reactions, comments and notifications

Reactions, replies, comments and related notifications are features for member interaction. Their availability and display may change as the service develops. You must not use these features to harass people, manipulate engagement or evade restrictions.

7.4 Interacting with people you do not know

Exercise caution when communicating with other members. We do not independently verify every member’s identity, claims, intentions or background. Do not send money, disclose credentials or rely on a member’s statements without making appropriate checks.

8 Moderation, investigations and enforcement

8.1 Our approach

We aim to maintain a usable, secure and lawful community. We may review reports, assess suspected breaches and take proportionate steps to protect members, the service and third parties. We are not obliged to monitor every post, message or interaction continuously, and the absence of immediate action does not mean that content has been approved.

8.2 Actions we may take

Where we reasonably consider it necessary, and subject to applicable law, we may:

  • Remove, hide, restrict or disable access to content.
  • Restrict posting, reactions, messaging or other account features.
  • Require changes to a profile or registration information.
  • Issue a warning or request that you stop specified conduct.
  • Temporarily suspend or permanently terminate an account.
  • Apply technical security controls, investigate suspicious activity or block abusive traffic.
  • Preserve relevant records or disclose information where legally required or otherwise lawfully justified.
  • Refer suspected unlawful activity to an appropriate authority where justified or required.

8.3 Reasons for action

Action may be taken where we reasonably believe there has been a breach of these Terms, a legal obligation, a security risk, attempted fraud, abuse of the service or conduct that materially harms the community. We may also act to comply with court orders, regulatory requirements or valid legal requests.

8.4 Fairness and review

Where reasonably practicable and appropriate, we may provide an explanation of significant account restrictions and a way to contact us about a decision. We may withhold details where disclosure could compromise security, an investigation, another person’s rights or a legal obligation. These Terms do not remove any mandatory procedural or appeal rights that may apply.

9 Intellectual property and website materials

9.1 Bronva Social materials

Unless stated otherwise, the website’s branding, design, original text, graphics, software, layout and other materials supplied by or for Bronva Social are owned by, licensed to or used with permission by the relevant rights holder. They are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, revocable and non-transferable permission to access and use Bronva Social for its intended purposes. This permission does not transfer ownership or grant you a right to commercially exploit our branding, software or other materials.

9.2 Restrictions

Unless we have given permission or the law expressly allows it, you must not copy, republish, sell, license, redistribute, modify or commercially exploit substantial parts of the website or its materials. You must not remove proprietary notices or falsely suggest that our materials are your own.

9.3 Third-party material

Content posted by members belongs to its respective rights holder, subject to any applicable licences or rights. Third-party names, logos, services and links may be protected by separate rights and are not necessarily affiliated with or endorsed by Bronva Social.

9.4 Copyright and rights complaints

If you believe content on Bronva Social infringes your intellectual property or other legal rights, contact support@bronva.com. Include the location of the material, an explanation of the right affected, the basis for your complaint and information sufficient for us to contact you. Do not make knowingly false or misleading complaints. We may request additional information before deciding what action is appropriate.

10 Privacy, data protection and security

10.1 Our Privacy Policy

Our Privacy Policy explains how personal information may be collected, used, stored and disclosed in connection with Bronva Social. It describes relevant purposes, rights and contact arrangements. Please read it alongside these Terms.

10.2 Security and audit information

To help protect the service, we may record security-related events such as successful and failed sign-in attempts, registrations, password resets, logouts and certain account activity. Depending on the event, records may include account identifiers, timestamps, IP addresses and technical information inferred from your browser or device.

Such information may be used for security monitoring, abuse investigation, troubleshooting and account protection, subject to the Privacy Policy and applicable law. IP-based location estimates and browser or device descriptions may be imprecise and should not be treated as verified proof of a person’s identity or physical location.

10.3 No guarantee of absolute security

We take reasonable steps appropriate to the service to protect accounts and information, but no website, database, internet connection or electronic communication can be guaranteed completely secure. You use online services with an understanding that residual risks exist.

10.4 Cookies and technical storage

Bronva Social may use cookies and similar technologies needed for login sessions, account security, preferences and website functionality. Other technologies, including analytics tools, may be used where configured and permitted by law. Where consent is legally required, non-essential technologies should only be used after the required consent has been obtained.

10.5 Personal information and other members

You must not use another member’s personal information for harassment, unsolicited marketing, profiling, identity theft or any other unlawful or unauthorised purpose. Access to information through the website does not give you permission to collect, republish or exploit it without a lawful basis.

11 Third-party services, promotions and links

Bronva Social may rely on third-party software, hosting, infrastructure, analytics or other services to operate its features. The service may also display links, references or promotional material relating to external products or websites.

Third-party services operate under their own terms, privacy notices and policies. Unless we expressly state otherwise, we do not control their independent services, security, availability, content or practices. A link or promotion does not, by itself, constitute a guarantee, endorsement or recommendation by Bronva Social.

If you visit an external website, install an application, purchase a product or provide information to another provider, you do so subject to that provider’s terms and applicable law. You should review the relevant provider’s information before proceeding.

External links may change or stop working. We are not responsible for third-party material to the extent that responsibility may lawfully be excluded, but this does not affect any responsibility that the law places on us.

12 Availability, maintenance and changes to features

12.1 Availability

We aim to keep Bronva Social available and functional, but uninterrupted access cannot be guaranteed. The service may be unavailable or restricted because of maintenance, upgrades, technical faults, hosting or network problems, security incidents, third-party failures or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

12.2 Changes to the service

We may add, modify, suspend or remove features to improve performance, security, accessibility, reliability or the member experience. For example, the layout or operation of profiles, activity feeds, reactions, notifications and messaging may change over time.

Where a change materially affects a contractual commitment or a right protected by law, we will comply with any applicable notice, consent or other legal requirements. Nothing in this section gives us an unrestricted right to disregard an agreed obligation.

12.3 Data loss and backups

Although reasonable technical measures may be used to maintain the service, you should not assume that content will always be available or recoverable. Where content is important to you, keep a lawful copy of material you are entitled to retain. This does not reduce any responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded.

13 Disclaimers and liability

13.1 Information and interactions

Bronva Social is a platform for member interaction. We do not guarantee that user-generated content is accurate, complete, current, safe or lawful, and we do not verify every member’s identity or statements. You are responsible for exercising appropriate judgement when using information or interacting with other members.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for decisions you make solely in reliance on user-generated content or for dealings you choose to enter into with other members. This does not exclude responsibility that we cannot lawfully exclude.

13.2 No promise of uninterrupted service

The service is provided with the features and availability reasonably achievable in its operating circumstances. We do not promise that it will always be uninterrupted, error-free, compatible with every device or free from every security risk. We will not use this wording to remove any statutory standard or remedy that applies to the services we supply.

13.3 Liability that cannot be excluded

Nothing in these Terms excludes or restricts liability where doing so would be unlawful. This includes, where applicable, liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, and statutory rights or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.

13.4 Limits on other liability

Subject to section 13.3 and applicable law, we are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the relevant agreement was formed, or for losses caused by events outside our reasonable control. Where the law permits, we are also not responsible for losses arising from your breach of these Terms, your unlawful use of the service, or your failure to take reasonable steps to protect your account.

We do not exclude liability merely because a loss is indirect or consequential if the law does not permit that exclusion, or where the loss is otherwise legally recoverable. Any limitation applies only to the extent permitted by law and must be interpreted consistently with applicable consumer protections.

13.5 Consumer rights

If you are a consumer, these Terms do not remove rights you have under applicable consumer legislation, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015 where it applies. Any term that cannot lawfully bind you will have no effect to that extent. The remaining Terms will continue to apply where legally possible.

13.6 Business users

If you use Bronva Social in the course of business, and to the extent that you are not acting as a consumer, the limitations in this section apply subject to the applicable law and the circumstances of the relevant agreement. They do not create an exclusion of liability that is prohibited by law.

14 Indemnity and misuse

To the extent permitted by law, you may be responsible for reasonable losses, liabilities, costs or expenses that we directly incur as a result of your unlawful conduct, your infringement of another person’s rights, or your material breach of these Terms, where those losses are legally recoverable and attributable to your actions.

This section does not impose liability on you for losses caused by our own breach of duty, remove any defence available to you under the law, or require you to compensate us for amounts that cannot lawfully be recovered from you. It does not create an automatic or unlimited obligation to indemnify us for every complaint, claim or cost.

We may investigate suspected misuse, preserve relevant records and take reasonable steps to prevent further harm. Where a claim arises, we may ask you for information reasonably necessary to understand the circumstances.

15 Suspension, account closure and termination

15.1 Closing your account

You may stop using Bronva Social at any time. If an account-deletion facility is available, you may use it in accordance with the instructions provided. Otherwise, contact support@bronva.com to ask about account closure.

15.2 Suspension or termination by us

We may suspend, restrict or terminate your access where reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance, prevention of abuse, protection of members or enforcement of these Terms. We may take urgent action without advance notice where delay could cause harm, compromise security or conflict with a legal obligation.

Where appropriate and reasonably practicable, we may explain the reason for a restriction and consider relevant information you provide. Nothing in this section removes mandatory rights that may apply to you.

15.3 What happens when an account ends

Once an account is closed or terminated, you may lose access to profile features, messages and other account functionality. Content may be removed, restricted or retained as described in the Privacy Policy and section 5 of these Terms. Certain records may remain where required or justified by law, security, dispute resolution, backup processes or legitimate operational needs.

Closing an account does not automatically remove copies that other users have lawfully retained or content already shared outside the service.

15.4 Continuing provisions

Provisions that by their nature need to continue after account closure will remain applicable. These may include provisions concerning intellectual property, content licences to the extent still needed, liability, lawful record retention, dispute resolution and interpretation.

16 Complaints, reports and suspected abuse

If you encounter content or conduct that may breach these Terms, threaten someone’s safety, infringe rights or otherwise require attention, contact us at support@bronva.com.

To help us assess a report, provide as much relevant information as you reasonably can, such as:

  • The username or profile involved, if known.
  • The location of the content or conversation, such as a page or activity link.
  • A clear description of the issue and why it may breach these Terms or the law.
  • Relevant dates and supporting information that you are entitled to share.
  • A safe way to contact you if we need clarification.

Please do not send passwords, authentication codes or unnecessary sensitive personal information in a report. We may request further information, prioritise urgent safety issues and take action proportionate to the circumstances. We cannot promise a particular outcome or response time for every report.

If there is an immediate danger to life or safety, contact the appropriate emergency services rather than relying on a website report or email response.

17 Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes in the service, technical features, security practices, applicable law or the way the community operates. The effective date at the top indicates when this version was prepared to take effect.

Where a change is material, we will take reasonable steps to bring it to users’ attention and obtain any agreement required by law. We will not rely on a mere website update to override a legal requirement for notice, consent or a fair contractual variation.

Continued use after revised Terms take effect may indicate acceptance only where that result is legally valid in the circumstances. If you do not agree to a revised version, you should stop using the service and may contact us about closing your account. Your statutory rights remain unaffected.

18 General legal provisions

18.1 Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms and disputes arising from them are governed by the laws of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory legal protections that apply to you. Courts in England and Wales will have jurisdiction where legally permitted. If you reside elsewhere, mandatory consumer protections and jurisdictional rights that cannot lawfully be displaced will continue to apply.

18.2 Severability

If any provision is found to be unlawful, invalid or unenforceable, it will be limited or removed only to the extent necessary. The remaining provisions will continue to apply where that is legally possible.

18.3 No waiver

If we do not immediately enforce a provision, that does not mean we permanently waive our right to enforce it later. Any waiver must be assessed in the circumstances and in accordance with applicable law.

18.4 No transfer of your statutory rights

Nothing in these Terms prevents you from exercising a legal right or remedy that cannot lawfully be waived, excluded or restricted.

18.5 Entire agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any additional terms clearly presented for a particular feature, describe the arrangements governing your use of Bronva Social. If a specific feature has additional terms, those terms apply to that feature to the extent they are valid and consistent with applicable law.

18.6 No partnership or agency

Your use of Bronva Social does not create an employment relationship, partnership, joint venture or agency relationship between you and the service operator. You must not claim authority to represent Bronva Social unless expressly authorised.

18.7 Language

These Terms are written in English. Where a translation is provided, the English version will govern to the extent permitted by applicable law, without overriding any mandatory rights or requirements.
