Who can join Bronva
You must be 16 or over to have an account. We ask for your date of birth when you sign up. If it shows you are under 16, we do not create an account and we do not keep the date you entered. If we later find an account belongs to someone under 16, we hide it and delete it after 14 days' notice by email. Dates of birth are never shown to other members and cannot be changed once saved.
Extra protection for members under 18
Members aged 16 to 17 automatically get our safest settings, and these stay locked until they turn 18: a friends-only profile, no listing in the Members directory or search engines, a private friends list, tagging and group invites from friends only, no "last active" status, and no personalised suggestions or partner offers.
What is not allowed
Illegal content has no place here. That includes child sexual abuse material, terrorism, threats and incitement to violence, stalking and harassment, hate crime, fraud and scams, sharing intimate images without consent, content that encourages suicide or self-harm, and the sale of illegal drugs or weapons. Our Terms of Service and Community Guidelines set out our other rules.
Reporting and blocking
You can block or mute anyone, and you can report posts, profiles and messages using the report tools on the site.
What we do about harmful content
We use automated tools so action happens quickly, day or night. Hiding a post can be reversed. We keep a record of safety actions.
Complaints and appeals
If a post of yours was hidden, your account was limited, or you are unhappy with how we handled a report, sign in and go to Settings, then Privacy & Legal, then "Make a request or complaint". We confirm it by email straight away and reply within one month.
If someone is in danger or a child is at risk
In an emergency call 999. To report child sexual abuse imagery, use the Internet Watch Foundation at report.iwf.org.uk. For concerns about a child being groomed or exploited online, use the CEOP Safety Centre at ceop.police.uk/safety-centre. If you are struggling, Samaritans are free on 116 123, at any time.
